Monitoring & privacy
Consent, what is captured, employee rights, working hours and the monitoring notice.
Do employees know they are being monitored?
Yes, and it is enforced in the product, not left to policy. The server refuses captured content until the employee has acknowledged the current monitoring notice, the agent shows a visible tray icon, and every person can see their own recorded data in the console.
What is captured by default?
No content. Screenshots, live screen, recordings, clipboard, app usage and website activity all ship disabled. Only attendance and idle detection are on, and those count time rather than content. An administrator turns on specific features per organisation, department, team or person.
How do I turn on screenshots or recordings?
An administrator enables them in the monitoring policy for the chosen scope (company, department, team or person). Capture begins only after the affected employee acknowledges the updated monitoring notice; changing the notice text re-triggers that consent.
Can employees see their own recorded data?
Yes — everyone can see their own activity, screenshots, timeline and attendance under "My Activity", in the same detail their managers see. That transparency is a product rule, not a configurable option.
Do you log keystrokes or read messages?
No. We do not build keystroke logging of message content, covert camera or microphone capture, or monitoring that hides itself from the person being monitored. If you need those, we are not the right vendor.
How do I change the monitoring notice?
Edit the monitoring notice text in the monitoring settings. Because the text changed, affected employees are asked to acknowledge the new notice before capture continues — consent always tracks the current wording.
Can I pause monitoring during breaks or off-hours?
Yes. Use working-hours and blackout windows so the agent does not capture content outside the times you set. Idle detection also distinguishes active from idle time within the window.
How long is captured data kept?
Each company sets its own rolling retention — for example keep the newest N screenshots and the last N minutes of recordings. Nothing is kept longer than that policy allows, and old captures are purged automatically.
What is the Screen Wall?
The Screen Wall shows live low-quality thumbnails of everyone in your scope, built to run on a second screen. It needs live screen enabled in the policy and the employee's consent; tiles that are waiting for a signal mean the agent is not running or consent is pending.
